Dr. Hassam is an alumnus of the University of Waterloo where she graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry with honors. She is also an honors graduate from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree. As part of her training, Dr. Hassam completed an externship in ocular disease at the Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she focused on diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma management.
Dr. Hassam has a special interest in fitting contact lenses and has undergone additional contact lens training at the Vision Care Institute in Jacksonville, Florida and the Academy for Eye Care Excellence in Fort Worth, Texas. She has experience in both private practice and an esteemed Center for Dry Eye and Corneal Disease where she fit specialty contact lenses for patients with complex corneas.
Dr. Hassam has spent many years volunteering with Operation Eyesight Universal and participated in an eye care mission in Romania with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She is an active member of the North East Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Hassam loves to explore nature in the company of her husband and two children. She welcomes new patients of all ages and looks forward to fulfilling your eye care needs.
Dr. Grewal was born in Calgary, Alberta where she attended the University of Calgary for her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. She left Calgary to pursue her passion of optometry at NOVA Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her externships at NOVA, she had the privilege to see patients of diverse backgrounds and gain extensive knowledge in primary care, contact lenses fittings, and treating/managing ocular disease and infection.
Dr. Grewal is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist with the Texas Optometry Board.
In her spare time, Dr. Grewal enjoys the great outdoors including hiking, biking and traveling with her husband. She also enjoys a good home cooked meal, and loves to cook different cuisines.
Dr. Matthew Lyons is therapeutically licensed and a certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in the State of Texas. At See Clear Eye Care, he provides full-scope primary eye care.
Dr. Lyons earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston and his Bachelor of Biology from the University of Texas. As a local alumnus from Berkner High School, Dr. Lyons is proud to be a product from the best in Texas education.
An active member of his profession, Dr. Lyons currently serves as Vice President of the Northeast Texas Optometric Society and was elected into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Other notable achievements include being a Polymathic Honors Scholar at UT, a previous volunteer for the Texas School for the Blind, an Eagle Scout, and a father.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Lyons enjoys playing bluegrass music, weight training, and spending time with friends, family, and cats.
