As much as 80% of classroom learning occurs through sight.  When vision is not functioning properly, a child's learning, hand-eye coordination, and self-esteem can be negatively impacted.  

Vision screenings in school are not a replacement for a comprehensive eye exam.  Why?  School vision screenings generally do NOT include an assessment of eye health, near visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, eye teaming or eye tracking.
